Insights From Israel

by MakeUsWell

Nota Bene

MakeUsWell knows the American market, cold. We also know the UK and Indian markets fairly well. Although some of us have worked and dabbled in the Israeli market, we lack in-depth knowledge and understanding of Israel and her market.

So, we turned to people and publications that have accumulated knowledge and are top-notch in Israel.

Our ally Israel, like us, is suffering from political turmoil and mistrust towards the government. Ergo, we took special care to ensure that our sources—like MakeUsWell—are non-partisan, and driven by science and data.

Gaming the Vaccine Distribution Rules

by Mike Critelli

I am a 72-year-old with residences in Florida and Connecticut. In Florida, vaccines are available to all permanent and seasonal residents over 65. Connecticut prioritized the 75+ population ahead of those younger.

Both states are utterly failing to achieve equitable access to vaccinations. And in both states people are gaming the systems in ways that increase the inequities.

Separate from the survey, Nancy shared this with us. (We edited for clarity and brevity.)

Many well-intentioned employer policies cause employees economic harm. And have negative health impacts.

Dealing with Pandemic Loneliness

by Dale Atkins

Dale Atkins is a licensed psychologist with 40+ years in private practice. She focuses on families and wellness.

Dale has published seven books. And she speaks, lectures, and leads seminars. And has appeared on CNN and NBC.

MakeUsWell CEO, Mike Critelli said, "Dale started her career focused on children with hearing loss. She has deep knowledge on the role of hearing in brain development."

Isolation and loneliness are key issues in our post-pandemic world.

The COVID-19 crisis has actually distracted us from this issue. We may believe loneliness will go away when the pandemic ends.

Wrong!
